Have you thought, after eating a cracker, that his diet has been ruined, and then eats a whole package? Or do you think that because you did not get a promotion this year, is destined to fail in your career?
You are not alone. Even the most optimistic person is not immune to negative thoughts. But for some, destructive thinking and doubts can be relentless.
Psychologists believe that, just like the feeling of shame can cause a physical reaction (flushing), as self-destructive thoughts can lead to health problems, weight gain, skin diseases and economic misery.
The renowned American psychiatrist Daniel Amen has spent his life studying how thoughts affect our appearance, energy and success, reports the Daily Mail
Their studies have revealed that on turning negative thoughts to positive, we can transform our lives for the better.
In his new book Change Your Brain, Change Your Body, Dr. Amen identifies the scourge maddeningly common: ANT (automatic negative thoughts), which he describes as "small voices that appear in the head and tell you are not good enough, not thin enough, a bad daughter, a person with no future. "
When ants are small, the ANT can be administered.
But when thousands of negative thoughts appear things get complicated.
"The brain is powerful," he says. "Negative thoughts can make bad things happen. In battles without end, redemption is building its own arsenal of solutions anteater, to eliminate every ant you see in your head."
"The key is to develop an anteater in your brain that can consume all the negative thoughts that enter your head. Every time you feel angry, sad or frustrated, enter your ANT, then write what your bear ant say to kill the ant. "
"Make a pact with himself for not listening to their ants. If you do, your thoughts will translate into stock. Your body follows your mind. There is no other option."
