On December 21 took place in the auditorium of the Hospital del SAS Jerez presentation of the book entitled "Severe sepsis and organ dysfunction," edited by Dr. Francisco Valenzuela Sanchez, MD Service Specialist Critical Care Hospital of Jerez.
This book comprises a total of 23 chapters that have participated in a multidisciplinary way 58 authors, most of Jerez Hospital specialists in different subjects.
In this work we review the epidemiology and pathophysiology of sepsis and biological markers, clinical presentation and different sources of origin of sepsis, monitoring techniques and the current status of antimicrobial therapy, the role of steroids and the importance of nutrition and glycemic control.
