My analysis:

In this series of analysis, I think is the first time I write about pure comedy. Before they were "Buried", "Social Network", "Also the Rain" and "The King's speech." I encounter a serious problem: I think one thinks about the film depends primarily on ... If his jokes make him grace. "Torrente 4. Lethal Crisis" has a slight frame and, in my opinion, properly constructed but, essentially, a perch from which to hang gags the character. Vulgar jokes that some viewers find unbearable and other hilarious.

As I say, the structure appears to be effective Torrente 4 me, quite simple and not particularly original. Torrente garners an enemy in the first sequence. Unbeknownst to him, that enemy will ambush that led him to prison. He manages to escape and seek revenge on his enemy, but the ending is bittersweet, to be rearrested Torrente.

Personally I think the plot is well taken and is surprisingly "conventional" according to the criteria classic script.

The key to the saga de Torrente is, as everyone can imagine, the character of Jose Luis Torrente. The stories that happen are basically excuses to give rise to character gags, facing situations that give rise to any of its aberrant reactions. Segura's decision is usually introduce this character in some cases police or Torrente pseudopolicial which must confront a powerful villain, Hispanic transcript of James Bond villains. In fact, the legendary British spy spoof is evident in the opening credits. In my opinion, as always happens in movies Torrente are often the scenes of these cartoon villains clash the most in movies. Although the selection of the actors who embody is very peculiar, always in my opinion, their sequences are often highly implausible.

the contrary happens with scenes from the underworld of drunks, prostitutes and petty criminals in which Torrente moves like a pig in the pond. The first act of this issue of Torrente takes time to describe the economic and moral misery you live in the former policeman, queuing to get food at a soup kitchen, we fight for street hooligans trash, illegally rent their flat South American migrants with which it is blatantly racist, fool a fool to pay you a peep show ...

In my opinion this is a very descriptive first act in which the plot takes to boot. However, it is also true that this is possibly the most realistic and believable film. You can see even in this part, a critical commentary of our country today: the general economic crisis, relations with immigrants, etc..

Beyond the initial sequence that illustrates the disastrous precréditos latest de Torrente, the plot itself disappears until minute 24 when Torrente receives a mysterious request.

The assignment is to kill a guy who knew nothing until then. When all their supposed partners abandoned him, Torrente, pressured by his disastrous economic situation, carry out the crime alone. It is then that this is an ambush. The police arrest him immediately.

Thanks to effective ellipsis, the next thing you see is Torrente jailed for a crime he did not commit.

The case, which is accused of unfairly Torrente has surprisingly little importance in history. Torrente just protest have been arrested and spends all his strength to survive in prison with embarrassing tricks and develop rough flight plans for recruiting the most foolish of the prison. Much space in the second act of the film escape plan, to the "Escape / Victoria", using a soccer game organized as a "smokescreen." The party, as virtually every scene of the film is stuffed full of cameos and appearances by familiar characters, it is also surprisingly unimportant: the escape plan fails and, in the attempt, several buddies die de Torrente. After so much effort to achieve escape, the escape is achieved in a much simpler and less prepared (with the help of colleagues Torrente bar he frequents, taking a tour of the prison choir.)

The second acts are often the most difficult to write and ... often the hardest to do well. A writer usually know how to begin his story and how to end it. But ... how convincingly develop throughout the duration? How to give the impression that the plot moves along this long stretch in which they can take steps forward ... but there too? Many times, this part of the story becomes a succession of failures of the protagonist of that little remake recently, with the help of a partner and through which you learn something that leads him to solve finally the problem at the end (if it succeeds, of course). In Torrente 4 minutes devoted to the escape plan foiled (the football game) are revealed, when it fails, as quite useless: Torrente manages to flee in a more simple and much less "planted" by the writer, so why , has devoted much time to the famous football match? Just to enter the cameos of the players invited?.

However, as I have written a couple of times digressions into comedy are much more accepted than in other genres. If a grace makes a joke, a character or a situation deemed to keep in history has been a good idea. I'm sure many viewers have enjoyed Torrente all that part, all those prison scenes (filled with fights between YouTube celebrities and footballers cameos) but were not essential to the story.

The third act begins, roughly, with the flight of Torrente. The corrupt former police officer faces his great antagonist. As the thirst for justice has never been a high priority for the character, Torrente decide to get money from a millionaire Rocamora blackmailed with incriminating photos of his daughter were taken in the first sequence of the film. I imagine that, at this point, the viewer has forgotten the time or, like me, does not give too much importance. Rocamora pretends to give in to blackmail but, again, tries to ambush Torrente and his partner Ring Ring. This time it achieves its goal. Rocamora's henchmen just killing each other, Rocamora dies, Ring Ring and Torrente survive a long series of explosions of flying cars.

The action sequences are pretty spectacular movie, and once, in my opinion, too long. As the film progresses and the plot becomes more important, comedy disappears and win the whole action. This is where, personally, I understand that worsens the film: the thriller plot is schematic, not credible villain and his henchmen, stereotyped.

Fortunately, in this installment, Torrente just spend time with these bad comic. Most of the film takes place between characters that we are much more recognizable, whores, drunks, sex-obsessed, cheap, stupid, mentally ill ... Why all these sad specimens are all too recognizable? Why Torrente and his entourage seem to describe how well the current Spain (and probably also the usual)? That is another issue and certainly I am not the right person to answer it.
