1.- Universidad de Chile (1977 - 1986). Pareciera ser que en este lapso de tiempo transcurrió mi mejor época universitaria. Hice muchas cosas en investigación y en docencia. Ya era profesor asistente!

Recuerdo haber sido invitado como Asesor en técnicas cell cultures to the Laboratory of Avian Pathology. Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Universidad Austral de Chile. Valdivia. August, 1981. 2 .- Trip to Spain. 1986.

I was lucky to be invited to the VI International Course on Diagnosis of Respiratory and Enteric Virus Bovine. Director: Alfredo Solana, a grant from the General Directorate of International Technical Cooperation. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain. National Agricultural Research Institute. Department of Animal Virology. Madrid. Spain. October, 1986.

This course will discuss interesting topics related to animal virology, viral infectious diseases, immune response, vaccines, and epidemiological aspects. All teachers were first class and knew they were talking. In short a very useful course. Students were

veterinarians, all of America. Youth and adults. And they were very participatory in class. I

One day we went with a English friend, very English, to learn the Madrid Zoo. It was a room very consistent with the needs of ethics to maintain captive animals. Madrid was and is a spectacular city with the monument The Cibeles, Gran Via, Plaza Mayor, the Temple of Debot and Retirement Park, the latter a paradise. We also learned where they are buried the kings of Spain. Overwhelming in its long history.

The trip ended with an anecdote. I was well fired from my friends and with great sorrow. I arrived at the airport and there was nobody. I sat down to wait for the flight and nothing happened. I asked what was wrong with the flight to Chile, and English would say, because that llegastes well under way, which was true, because I am nervous and on flights arriving on time I like to relax. Well, very llegastes advance because the flight is tomorrow ... that simple. I returned to the Consulate of Argentina where there was a party, and my friends could not believe it. But two years later died playing soccer, of a heart attack, a journey. Until today I felt the early departure of my Peruvian friend who was so optimistic and dreamy ... I returned from Spain to stay with my sister. My marriage had gone to hell ...
